Portrait of Pete Durand

Founder

Pete Durand

Pete spent his early years in various sales, marketing, and operational roles at Fortune 500 companies such as Kimberly Clark, Eaton and General Electric. He joined his first startup in California in the late ‘90s and was hooked.

In 2009, Pete started RivalHealth, a SaaS company delivering fully customized and individual fitness solutions to employees. After growing the business across all 50 states, 12 countries, and 66 languages — and changing thousands of people’s lives — he merged the company with gBehavior to form GoPivot Solutions, the leading well-being platform in the US.

After the merger in 2017, Pete formed Cruxible Partners, a boutique consulting and talent agency. Over his career he's built and scaled several companies, raised over $150M in venture, debt and private equity capital, completed several M&A transactions and recruited/placed hundreds of talented employees.  He is a patent holder, podcast host, accomplished triathlete, exercise junkie, and nutrition nut.

Pete holds a BS in Industrial Engineering and an MBA, and is a former Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for the Carolinas. He lives in Apex, NC with his lovely wife and is the father of three amazing offspring and a grandfather.

Portrait of Sam Durand

Associate Director

Sam Durand

Sam grew up in North Carolina and played Division I soccer at Elon University, where four years of competing at that level taught him more about how people perform under pressure than any classroom could. After graduation he moved to New York City and spent the early part of his career at EY, working alongside some of the largest institutions in financial services and learning how disciplined, high-performing organizations actually run — and what separates the leaders inside them from everyone else.

At Cruxible Partners, Sam leads business development and client acquisition, and runs full-cycle search execution from intake through offer. He builds the slate, manages candidates through the process, and stays close to clients long after the placement is made. It's work that rewards the same instinct he built as an athlete: résumés tell you where someone has been, but attitude tells you how they'll perform when the job gets hard. Sam lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he still plays soccer, spends as much time on the beach as he can, and never turns down time with family.

Portrait of Sidney Keesling

Operations Manager

Sidney Keesling

Sidney runs everything behind the search. As Operations Manager, she owns Cruxible's back office — accounting and invoicing, vendor management, interview scheduling and candidate documentation, and the systems the firm runs on. She keeps the administrative side of every active search moving, from billing to logistics, and manages the firm's marketing and brand presence.

She has been with Cruxible since 2020 and has built the operation as the firm has grown, which frees the search team to stay where they belong — with the people. It's the least visible work in executive search and the first thing anyone notices when it's missing.

A graduate of East Carolina University, Sidney lives in Charlotte, North Carolina.
